Tu B’Shvat Solidarity Seder

Have you heard of Tu B’Shvat?

It’s sometimes called “Jewish Earth Day” and has roots in ancient agricultural practices around tending to trees.

This year UC Jews for Ceasefire is working in collaboration with CU MAC and SECS UIUC to learn about the Israeli occupation’s devastation of Palestinian land, and the history of environmental activism at UIUC. We hope to strengthen the connections between local activists and build a supportive network of community members who look out for each other. We are still in the cold and darkness of winter, and yet springtime is just around the corner! The sap is rising and so are we!
