Security Workshop: Staying Safe Against Fascist Tech with Jake McGinty
It’s long been known that surveillance technology has been enabling the police state to reduce autonomy and induce a chilling effect that prevents people from organizing or living the life they want. In this workshop, we’ll deconstruct the technology they use and build up a security practice that should leave us feeling empowered to continue to organize and take care of each other.
When: Monday, 3/24 from 6 to 8pm
Where: 202 S. Broadway Ave, Urbana (UC IMC)
Cost: Free for IMC members + suggested donation of $10 for general public
