PopUP Teach-in, “Concerning Global Voices” by Dr. Barnes and Dr. Salo

Join FJP UIUC on Feb 28th (3-3:50 PM in Davenport Hall 230) for a conversation with Dr. Terri Barnes and Dr. Ken Salo about Africanist perspectives on global violences, past and present, and how our social justice orgs could respond. Our dialogues will reignite the Popular University as we consider Goran Olsson’s documentary “Concerning Violence” (2014) and its anti-colonial Fanonian vision for collective liberation, link to trailer in QR code. We’ll also have snacks, community organizing info, and a popUP of selected books from the Refaat Alreer Memorial Library — bring a friend!
